Two ways to plan
Work however suits you. The table view lays your tables out as cards with capacity bars, so you can see at a glance which are full and which still have room, then drag guests across from the unassigned list. The designer view gives you a to-scale floor plan you arrange exactly like the real room.
Either way, a guest sits at one table at a time. Move someone and they leave their old seat automatically, so your plan never double-books a chair.
Seating Chart is a one-off add-on (£18), and it is included from The Ceremony tier upward.
Build the room to scale
In the designer you set the room size in metres or feet, then add round, rectangle and square tables and drag them into place. Seats arrange themselves around each table, and you can nudge individual seats wherever you need them.
To start fast, apply a room template or auto-create a centred grid of tables by guest or table count. From there, draw the walls, add partitions, and drop in objects like a dance floor or a bar so the plan reflects the venue your guests will actually walk into.
Dietary needs in plain sight
When a guest has a dietary requirement on file, their seat carries a small marker, and a tap shows the full detail. That means you can see what each table needs from the kitchen as you plan, rather than cross-referencing a separate list on the day.
Print it, then let guests find their own seat
When the plan is set, export a landscape A4 PDF with a cover, a contents page, per-table guest lists and a rendered picture of your floor plan. There is a separate print mode for place cards, escort cards and large tent-fold table numbers, all laid out with cut guides ready to trim.
On the day itself, the built-in seat finder lets a guest sign in and instantly see their table on their phone, which takes the pressure off a single printed chart at a busy reception.
